Effective March 24, 2006.
All building and zoning for the City of Sylvester will be administered by Sandy Almand. Sandy may be reached at P.O. Box 370, 229-776-8505 or at 101 N. Main Street, Sylvester, GA 31791. Hours are 8am - 11:30am, Monday - Thursday.

| New Utilities |
|
To begin your new utility service in Sylvester you must do the following procedures:
1. Have picture ID (driver's License).
2. Social Security card.
3. Rent Receipt.
4. Service Charge for:
Lights - $50.00
Water - $10.00
Gas - $20.00
The Service is Non-refundable.
5. Deposit for services:
Lights - $50.00
Water - $50.00
Gas - $50.00
The Deposit is applied to final bill or transfered to a new location if your going to have services with the city.
6. To have services turned on you need to
come into city hall before 1:30 p.m.
7. Work orders are done Mon - Fri between
3:30 & 5:00.
8. Transfering of service from one address to another is $20.00.
9. Reconnection fee for delinquent bill is $60.00. Bill must be paid with cash before 4:30pm for reconnection.

FROM THE OFFICER OF THE SYLVESTER CODE ENFORCEMENT OFFICE:
ALL RESIDENTS WHO OWN OR RETAIN A JUNKED OR ABANDONED VEHICLE ON YOUR PROPERTY. THIS IS NOTICE TO REMOVE OR BRING TO CODE ACCORDING TO CODE SECTION 1.8 (A) (B) AND (F) LOCATED IN THE SYLVESTER PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ORDIANCE OF THE CITY OF SYLVESTER.
THIS SECTION OF THE ORDINANCE STATES THAT ALL VEHICLES SHOULD HOLD VALID INSURANCE, AND PROPER DISPLAY OF CURRENT YEAR TAG.
IF YOU ARE A RESIDENT/PROPERTY OWNER IN POSSESSION OF A JUNKED OR ABANDONED VEHICLE YOU ARE ADVISED TO HAVE THE SAID VEHICLE REMOVED NO LATER THAN JANUARY 25,2004.
AS OF JANUARY 26, 2004 CITATIONS MAY BE ISSUED TO ALL VEHICLES FOUND IN VIOLATION UNDER THE CODE SECTIONS LISTED IN THE PROPERTY MAINTENANCE ORDINACE.
AS A SERVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF SYLVESTER “FUTRILL’S WILL PICK THE VEHICLES UP AT NO CHARGE TO THE PROPERTY OWNER OR VEHICLE OWNER” YOU MAY CONTACT FUTRILL’S AUTO PARTS AT 229-776-6988.
SYLVESTER CODE ENFORCEMENT WOULD LIKE TO STRESS TO THE CITIZENS OF THE CITY OF SYLVESTER, THAT IT IS OF GREAT IMPORTANCE THAT THE VEHICLES BE REMOVED OR BROUGHT TO CODE.
