Headed by Superintendent Brian Rowland, the Water Department provides for the drinking water needs of the people of Sylvester while the Sewer Department treats the City's waste water.

Sewer Department

Treats approximately 200 million gallons of raw waste water annually

Call the 911 call center for emergency response crews after 5:00 p.m.

Emergency response crews on call 24/7 and all holidays.

The sewage treatment facilities are located off Highway 82 east and off Town Creek Drive. We operate and maintain 13 sewer pump stations located at key locations throughout the city with a pumping capacity range of between 350 GPM all the way up to 3,250 GPM.

Water Department

Sylvester drinking water comes from groundwater pumped from the Floridian aquifer and distribution system that consists of four deep wells and over 100 miles of service lines.
