Sylvester Fire Department will be conducting hydrant testing starting Monday, October 13th. The testing will take approximately two weeks to complete. Some areas may experience low water pressure during testing. Sediment stirred up by the hydrant flushing may accumulate in water lines and can affect water clarity. Citizens who experience any unusual problems with their water after the hydrants are tested, such as discolored water or excessive air, are encouraged to turn on a faucet...

Sylvester Fire Department has been awarded a grant through Golden Triangle RC&D. The grant has allowed the purchase of two Electric Vehicle Blankets, one for each lead truck. As of today, The City of Sylvester has five electric vehicle charging stations located withing the city limits.
